Schmetterlinge
The series »Schmetterlinge« (Butterflies) consists of 22 circuit boards. The fine drawings of the butterflies are made of copper traces which remain after the etching with acid. These traces are normally the current-carrying circuits of electronic devices. The production of these butterfly-circuit-boards followed the same process as that of conventional circuit boards. The numerical code which normally labels the electronic components on circuit boards is used here to name the butterflies. The circuit boards are arranged in insect-showcases and are attached with insect-pins.
