Device-sculpture for determination of the specific distortion coefficient (SDC) of the measurement head used on the GSAE expedition 2014/15 (measurement instrument GSAE 01.1). The SDC-value is used for the calibration of this unit.
Procedure:
The Measurement head is to be placed inside the cube, which is mapped inside with a measurement pattern.
All six faces of the cube are illuminated from the outside with lights in a pyramidal arrangement of rods, forming altogether a rhombic dodecahedron.
For each rotation angle of the measurement head, a measurement photo is taken through a small circular hole on the north side of the cube.
